Named after his late grandfather.
Drew Antonious is Daan de Jong, a 20-year-old independent producer and artist from Utrecht. He grew up surrounded by musicians: his grandfather a drummer, his father a pianist, his mother a singer. He started at sixteen, making hip-hop beats in his room, and kept going until the sound was his own.
He calls it alternative RnB. Dark, ambient soundscapes and bass-heavy production, somewhere between R&B, indie pop and hip-hop, built to bring the underground a little closer to everyone else. He writes, produces and mixes it himself, produces for other artists, and studies at the Rockacademie in Tilburg.
Every track comes with a world to look at. Drew directs his own visuals, and in April 2026 he tried the new sound live for the first time at Poppodium 013. ‘SUMMER NIGHTS’, out now, is where it starts.
